Congratulations Chloe Hood, awarded “Sport Personality of the Year” at the Radio Pembrokeshire Young Achievers Awards (October 2016). We are all very proud of you.
Below is a copy of her nomination….
Chloe is a member of the SAW Weightlifting team. She competes in the u15 age category. Chloe trains 4 to 5 times per week and follows a carefully planned Weightlifting regime to suit her age and ability.
This year, Chloe has won the Welsh U15’s Championships and gained Silver medal in the British Championships, within a very competitive field and only missing out on Gold by 1kg. She is a member of the Welsh Weightlifting Talent Squad and this year has represented Wales in an International tournament, the Junior Battle (Austria) where she gained 4th place.
Chloe has worked extremely hard to develop technique and apply her high levels of speed and power into sound technique. She trains with total focus and commitment and has recently been selected to compete again for Wales, at the Celtics Nations.
Chloe currently holds a staggering 29 Welsh records, from u14 and up to the u20 age category. A remarkable achievement as Chloe currently competes in the u15 age group.
She is making exceptional improvements within the sport of Weightlifting. Chloe’s aim for 2017 is to be selected for the British Youth squad and to gain British representation.
